TAG GLASS RARE TRANSCENDENTAL-
TAG GLASS RARE TRANSCENDENTAL
This is something we have on-hand every so often: a striking amber/purple glass that can produce a wide range of colors, from blues to pinks. With long, hot working you can get it to look more opaque.
Here is Transcendental alone. This was made and struck in a neutral flame, with some cooling between strikes. You can see the range of colors produced in just one or two strikes with this glass. LIMITED QUANTITIES.

TAG GLASS RARE GREEN DALAI LAMA-
TAG GLASS RARE GREEN DALAI LAMA
This is an opaque reactive glass which strikes into a range of blues and greens. Can reduce to browns. Like Dalai Lama, it's a striking silvered glass that remains opaque but changes tone with repeated heating. The rods come forest-to-teal in color.
This example was heated to the core two or three times in neutral, then  cooled a bit and the surface was struck lightly another three times. Each light strike brought out more of the streaky stripes!  LIMITED QUANTITIES. BEADS BY ME

TAG GLASS DALAI LAMA-
#001 TAG GLASS DALAI LAMA

Similar to the Caramelo, but in a soft glass. Opaque. This bead was made and struck in a neutral-to-oxidizing flame, then encased in clear. In general, striking Dalai Lama produces more purples and blues, while reducing tends to bring out the yellows and tans. Dalai does like to move toward amber in the kiln, if left exposed, so encasing is the best way to keep your purples.

TAG GLASS ZEUS-
#002 TAG GLASS ZEUS

This glass appears crystal clear in the rod, but changes dramatically when reduced, then struck. Zeus turns amber by itself and over light colors. Over black it can be struck to a range from royal blue to turquoise to green. Can also be reduced further to amber brown opaques. Encases well, retains reaction under clear. Remember, Zeus likes to be 'activated' by a light reduction before it will strike.

TAG GLASS OXBLOOD-
#005 TAG GLASS OXBLOOD

A self-striking dark grey rod that can make at least three colors when flameworked. It oxidizes to black, reduces to a grey, and, with super-heating and further reduction can produce subtle terra-cotta and brick reds. Very earthy.

TAG GLASS BLACK CHERRY-
#006 TAG GLASS BLACK CHERRY
This glass comes transparent, but kiln-strikes into a super-dark antique ruby red. Can be reduced. Work cool or heat your bead back to transparency at the end of your flame working time, to prevent it from getting "muddy."
See our 104 page under "Working Tips and Tricks" for instructions on getting the shade of red you want from TAG Black Cherry, using your regular kiln annealing temperature.

TAG GLASS TIBET-
#007 TAG GLASS TIBET

Just like the classic reactive amber/purple boro, now in 104 soft glass! A transparent version of Dalai Lama, this amber/purple glass strikes easily in a neutral flame, producing electric greens over black, or electric blues and purples alone. It also transmits a dark red amber once struck. Like the other reactive glasses, best results come from a light reduction followed by striking in a neutral to oxidizing flame.

TAG GLASS CEZANNE-
#008 TAG GLASS CEZANNE
A highly saturated cobalt/purple silvered glass. Darker and more reactive than Blue Buddha, and can go very metallic. Some batches are more streaky than others, but all reduce easily in the flame. Work it a bit cool.
This bead is Cezanne trailed over Vetrofond black, and shows how Cezanne can iridize other colors when heavily reduced. The line you see is caused by reflected light from the white velvet below the bead. This bead has a shiny metallic effect on the Cezanne, and a iridescent rainbow on the black.

TAG GLASS TAXCO SILVER-
#009 TAG GLASS TAXCO SILVER
Taxco (pronounced TASS-ko) is named for the town in Mexico most renowned for combining silver and turquoise. Taxco is a reactive silvered glass that reduces. This lovely turquoise was the most popular of our recent batch of 104 experimental colors; we begged for more, so Paul has agreed to make it the ninth in our regular line of 104 colors.
The beads in this image show the iridescent effects of reducing this glass with ZERO oxygen in a large, bushy propane flame.
